I've been meaning to cap this wonderful movie for a while, but just now got around to it. I've uploaded all caps to Photobucket, because SendSpace was giving me grief...and I like galleries better. I wanted to cap every scene with Bonnet and Quentin...and someone mentioned that they wanted caps of Joseph, so I tried to get as many as I could. If there's someone you want more caps of, just let me know and I'll do it. :) Enjoy!

I'll eventually scan my dvd booklet and pictures from the screenplay, once my scanner stops being angsty. Feel free to ask about it until I do it. :D

To the galleries.

I also have an mp3 of Schubert's "Momento Musical NÂș2", available as a .zip file here.

Today I found a Five of Diamonds playing card laying on the ground.

"5 of Diamonds - Happiness and success. A change for the better. A birth, or good news for a child. A good time to start new projects."

Maybe I'm being told something? Anyway, I really like the symbolism.

Am I the only one who finds Angelina Jolie disgusting? I'm so sick of seeing her on every entertainment show.

Sure, she does great humanitarian work (kudos for that)...but so much for acting like a human when it came to Brad Pitt (seducing a married man? not very ladylike, Angelina. tsk tsk). Maybe I just feel sorry for Jennifer Aniston. Or maybe she really is disgusting.

Okay.

My mother has a cyst on the left side of her brain. Now I've heard these are easy to treat/get rid of. I was reading this and it made me feel better about it, but I'm still scared. Here's what I found:

"My son(at age 21) also had a brain cyst which caused him bad headaches for a long time. He had surgery for it almost 1-1/2 years ago. A cyst is like a balloon inside the ventricle of the brain. It's almost always benign, alost always completely contained, so it can be either punctured and the fluid inside (just cerebrospinal fluid)just flows into the ventricle, or it can be removed, or shunt can be placed in it to allow the fluid to drain. The surgery, while not fun, did solve the pressure problem. It depends on the location of the cyst as to how they'll go about treating it. You'll have a bunch of MRI's and blood tests prior to surgery, so that's a bummer, and you will have one heck of headache for some time after--bu I think the prognosis on this type of surgery is good. It could be whole lot worse---cysts are defnitely peferable to tumors."

I'm just glad it wasn't a tumor. Please keep her in your thoughts. Thanks for caring, guys. :)

I hope all the people who told me costume day was today and then didn't come in costume have some bad karma coming to them really soon. It felt wonderful to be the only one dressed up and having people laugh at you. Oh, and screw coming early in the mornings for spirit week. I don't feel like having three people who can't get their shit straight yell at me for not understanding what they want.

Cheers.

A friend and I were driving to downtown Memphis to see a band play when we took a wrong turn. We end up driving through a not so well off part of town and see a police barricade and a yard taped off. My friend rolls down the window to ask a nearby policeman for help and we smell gunpowder. So we've missed some shooting by a few minutes, at least. We get directions and finally get to the show, missing most of it. Afterwards, when we're going back to the car, we get stopped by a man, clearly on something, who asks if he can recite a Martin Luther King speech. We say sure and hear his speech and give him a few dollars. He hugs us and kisses my hand, then runs off. Ha.

Okay. If we don't do Nick Jrs. for Spirit Week...ugh.

There are so many cute things we can do with it! I've been looking through nickjr.com and thinking of things we can do. It would be so adorable and creative. Plus, we just might get out of last place. I suggest firing the people who have done songs and themes. It's obviously not working out.

Thursday night was so much fun.

It's funny to see how I've opened up. My stomach used to eat itself at the thought of having to introduce myself and talk to new people. I met most of the freshman, talked to a few for a while. I hope this means a good year is ahead. :D (knock on wood.)

Today we got a call that my blood work revealed I had a Potassium level of 7.8 and needed to go to the ER right away, as it can cause heart deformities. So we go to ER, go to pediatric ward, and I get hooked up to an IV, an EKG (Hey, my LJ namesake!), blood pressure monitors, the works. But I got to watch 13 Going on 30 for like the 475384th time during all this, so it wasn't too bad. Haha

Well, it turns out that I actually have a lower level of Potassium. The lab made a mistake. So I get unhooked, un-monitored, etc. and go home.

Why can't I have adventures that are more on the fun side?

I babysit two girls (one is two, the other is 5 months). I leave the older one alone for a minute or so while I fix formula for the baby. When I come back, she's crouched in a corner with a guilty look on her face. When I ask her what was going on...she says, "I had to go potty..." Her diaper is leaking like crazy. Even though it was kinda gross, I almost cried I laughed so hard.

That's it for now.

We still haven't heard from the doctors. Maybe it's nothing bad. I mean, they would've called if it was something bad, right?

In other happenings, my mom and I were cleaning out her closet and dresser drawers and found old jewelry and clothes she and my grandma used to wear. It's really neat. Although, some of it is just hilarious...that's mostly the 80s stuff, bright colors and wild patterns...HAHA. I just might take pics of it, you just HAVE to see all of this stuff.

Today my grandpa was walking down the sidewalk and just passed out. Luckily he didn't hit his head, but he got scraped up. My mom took him to the doctor and they did some tests, but they said he needed an CAT scan done...

I hope it's nothing, but please keep him in your thoughts.

So I've got my butt in gear. For now.

I'm reading 1984 again, because I love books that I can ponder over and even have dreams over. Yes, I had a dream last night that the Thought Police were at my door. I woke up in a panic. It's funny now, but it was really creepy at the time. I'm also reading a novel entitled It's Kind of a Funny Story. I can't do it justice by trying to explain it. Maybe it's just one of those books where you have to have been there to get it.

I've been watching my dvds of Carnivale and Alias over again because my love for those shows can never die. I would be watching the dvds of Firefly, but sadly, I don't have those yet. Sorry Danielle, I have failed thee. :(

At first, I was against the new uniforms, because I love our little pop-overs and have no problem keeping my shirt tucked in.

But...

I decided to order one shirt and one skirt just to see how I would like it. Even though the skirt is a tad thicker than the old one, it feels like it would breathe more. The shirt is also a little thicker than the Peter Pan collar one, but at least you can't see through it.

SUMMARY: I like it.

I log onto MySpace and what do I have in my inbox? Why, a young man by the name of Mike has extended the hand of friendship. Or close to that.

The swelling's gone, the stitches are dissolving...Another day and I should be back to normal.

I just saw this video. I have never laughed so hard. It's got this Japanese guy dressed like the biker from the Village People enticing people with, what else?, pelvic thrusts and hip shakes to go to a ramen shop. Oh so helpful!

I'm still a little sore and swollen, but I'm okay. I think the swelling is starting to go down, thank God. I'm sick of looking like a chipmunk.

But I've got good news...I'VE GOT A NEW PHONE. All those hours of changing diapers and sitting through Noggin programs paid off. But we had to upgrade my mom's phone because we couldn't upgrade mine for another two months, so I've got a new number. I'll text/call you guys later with it. Hope everyone's doing better than my chipmunk-looking-self. =D
